John teaches the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on Monday and Wednesday nights, and regularly attends the advanced BJJ classes and open mat sessions to assist students with their training.
John started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2002, and after nine years of dedicated hard work he was recently awarded his brown belt by coach Matt Cooper.
As an instructor at Advance Martial Arts, John uses his years of experience to teach the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a very meticulous and precise way to ensure all students begin with a strong foundation and the correct techniques.
Over the years, John has participated in numerous BJJ competitions and can often be found on the sidelines coaching the rest of the Advance team. He has recently branched out to MMA, earning his first patch under Matt Cooper at Advance Martial Arts.
