Welcome to 2010 everyone. It’s great to see everybody back and refreshed and also to see some new faces joining the team. Last year was our first year officially as “Advance Boxing” and we enjoyed great success for such a new club.

Jack, James, Bernie, Liam and Marcel all attended Boxing QLD club tournaments and did themselves and the club very proud. All the boys have looked good, displaying great skills and poise for Novices. We had a good showing at the Novice Titles with Marcel winning his qualifier but unfortunately losing the final to a more experienced opponent.

Later in the year at the Golden Gloves Liam won two qualifying bouts, but had been struggling with the scales over the weekend and failed to make weight on the third day of the tournament for the final. The boys now know what it takes to make the finals and this year they are definitely looking to bring home some silverware to show off around the gym.
